DICLOFENAC (Voltaren®-XR) is an anti-inflammatory drug. Diclofenac reduces the joint pain, stiffness, inflammation, or swelling caused by rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.
INDOMETHACIN (Indocin®)is used for treating moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It is used to treat gout or certain types of bursitis and tendonitis. Indocin treats the symptoms of pain and inflammation. It does not treat the disease that causes those symptoms.
METHOTREXATE is a type of chemotherapy that is used to treat certain kinds of cancer and other diseases. Methotrexate affects cells that are rapidly growing such as cancer cells, cells of psoriasis, and cells in your mouth and stomach. Methotrexate is used to treat many different types of cancers including leukemias, lymphoma, breast cancer, and others. Lower dose of methotrexate may be given to patients with psoriasis or rheumatoid arthritis.

IBUPROFEN (Motrin®) is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug. Motrin is used in adults for relief of the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, treatment of menstrual pain, and relief of mild to moderate pain. In children aged 6 months and older it can be given to reduce fever and relieve mild to moderate pain. It is also used to relieve the symptoms of juvenile arthritis.
NAPROXEN (Naprosyn®) is used for treating rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and juvenile arthritis. It is used to treat tendonitis, bursitis, gout, menstrual cramps, or mild to moderate pain. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor. Naprosyn treats the symptoms of pain and inflammation. It does not treat the disease that causes those symptoms.
LEFLUNOMIDE (Arava) is the first isoxazol derivative approved for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Leflunomide was also the first agent for rheumatoid arthritis indicated for both symptomatic improvement and retardation of structural joint damage based on radiographic evidence of its disease modifying activity.
